How to get from Yerevan to Tsaghkadzor
Tsaghkadzor is located about 60 km northeast of Yerevan in the Kotayk region. There are several ways to get there, but each option has its own pros and cons.
Shuttle bus and minibus
Shared minibuses leave from Azatutyan Avenue several times a day, but they usually go to Hrazdan, not directly to Tsaghkadzor. From there, you still need to travel another 5 km to the resort. The fare is about 1000 AMD. Downsides include an irregular schedule, limited luggage space, possible extra payment for skis or snowboards, a transfer in Hrazdan, and cash payment in drams only.
Taxi apps and regular taxis
A ride via a taxi app such as Yandex Go may start from around 9,500 AMD, but there is no guarantee that the driver will agree to go out of town or that the car will have winter tires in the cold season. The road is paved and generally in good condition. In winter, the highway is cleaned regularly, but the Hrazdan–Tsaghkadzor section can be icy or snowy, especially early in the morning and late in the evening.
